The Deccan College Library has been selected among the major university Libraries by UGC under INFLIBNET programme. The Library has installed library software 'SLIM 21' for data management. The University has got Internet connectivity of 100 Mbps bandwidth under NKN Project by MHRD. The LAN has been set up in the Library and OPAC has been made available for users. Library automation is in progress and bar-code technology has also been installed recently. This library is also a part of a 'UGC Infonet Digital Library Consortium' and gets free access to the e-journals from e-resources like J-STOR, Springer link, Taylor and Francis, Wiley Blackwell, J-Gate, ISID and Economic and Political Weekly. An Institutional Repository has been set up at the Library with the scanned copies of rare Manuscripts, Pothis, Books (published in between 1523-1940), University Annual Bulletins, University Publications, Annual Reports, Ph.D. Theses, Dissertations, Syllabus and Question Paper Sets etc . E-journals databases and Institutional Repository (Digital Library) are accessible remotely.
