University has conducted its own courses for M.A. and P.G. Diploma in Archaeology, M.A. in Linguistics and M.A. in Sanskrit and Lexicography. University has also enrolled students for the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programme in these disciplines.
The Deccan College Library is rated as the best library in India in the fields of Archaeology, Sanskrit and Linguistics. It is being managed by the Library Committee under the chairpersonship of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor.
The University has an exclusive museum on Indian Archaeology. Also there is a specialized Maratha History Museum. Both these museums provide tools for research, training and outreach programme.

The Department of Archaeology, founded by the late Professor H.D. Sankalia in 1939 is the premier centre for teaching and research.
This is the oldest Department of modern Linguistics in India, founded by the late Professor S.M. Katre in 1939.
The Department presently offers M.A. and Ph.D. Degree courses in Sanskrit and Lexicography.
It was really a wonderful experience for me to be one of the proud alumni of this college.
